LAC LA BICHE – Led by Irelyn Spelt's two goals, the NAIT Ooks defeated the Portage College Voyaguers 5-2 at the first of two ACAC Futsal North Regionals at the Bold Center Sunday afternoon. Sarah Weremczuk, Sasha Pietramala and Morgan Dux also scored for NAIT while Emma Bendera scored twice for the Voyageurs. The result brings the Ooks' record to 3-2 while the Voyageurs fall to 0-5. Team records will carry forward to the next regional tournament, to be held at the Bold Center February 2-4. The top three teams from the two regional tournaments will qualify for the ACAC Championships March 8-10 in Lac La Biche.
