2025 ACAC Curling Charles Morter Memorial Award
Edmonton, AB (February 9, 2025) – The Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) is pleased to announce Randi Cameron of the University of Alberta-Augustana Vikings has been selected as the 2024/25 ACAC Charles Morter Memorial Award Recipient.
A key contributor to the Vikings women’s curling team, Randi played a pivotal role in their success throughout the season. Despite falling short in a play-in game against the Lakeland Rustlers for the final spot at the ACAC Curling Championships, her impact on the young squad was undeniable.
“Although Randi is only in her second season of curling, she has embraced it wholeheartedly. Showing respect for the sport, as well as her fellow curlers, Randi brings her enthusiasm to playing, practices and instruction with the Little Rockers program. Her dedication and commitment to a sport she only recently picked up is a testament to her character. She is a leader on and off the ice and an integral part of Vikings Curling.” said Steve Lindberg (Augustana Vikings Curling Coach)
Originally from Sherwood Park, Alberta, Randi is in her second year of studies, working toward a Bachelor of Law, Crime, and Justice.
This prestigious award was recognized at the 2024-25 ACAC Curling Championship hosted by Red Deer Polytechnic in Red Deer Alberta.
