Noah Bilodeau Honoured as 2021-22 ACAC Men's Soccer North Rookie of the Year
OCTOBER 28, 2021 – The Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) is pleased to announce Noah Bilodeau of The King's University Eagles has been selected as the 2021-22 ACAC Men's Soccer North Rookie of the Year.
Noah stepped into his first ACAC Season on fire. Determined to provide for his team, he quickly gave his teammates reliability. He could be relied upon to provide pace, creativity, good attitude, and offensive ability. Bilodeau consistently earned points throughout the season, but it was his presence that drew attention from fellow players and coaches. His attitude on the training pitch elevated his teammates to be better. His positive challenges, his teammates around him were most important to him. With this attitude, he earned the respect of not just his fellow rookies, but from the most experienced on the squad. The Eagles program looks forward to what Noah will bring to future seasons, as he continues to challenge himself to develop into the best player and leader that he can be.
"Noah was a joy to work with this year. His attitude was unmatched. He came to every practice with gusto, ready to work. He was always heard cheering on his teammates, building them up. Over the course of the season it seemed as though opponents attempted every trick in the book to throw him off his game, and he met it with challenge, reframing these tricks into positive motivation. His hard work translates into the classroom as well, earning very solid marks after his first year of undergrad in 20-21. My hope is that he continues to work towards being a complete athlete, but he is well on his way!"
Noah Bilodeau is in his 2nd year of a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences, concentrating in Kinesiology. He lives in Parkland County, and currently plays for the Edmonton Drillers Soccer Club, in the Alberta Major Soccer League. He earned team Rookie of the Year in 2020-21.
